“REIMAGINING THE GEOSCIENCES”
SEPTEMBER 7TH – 10TH, 2022
Magnolia Hotel Houston, Texas

WE MEET YET AGAIN!

Register now to ensure that you are an effective part of the movement towards progress and evolution in the ever changing Geosciences.

Come join us as we work towards developing strategies for the geoscience future. Let’s move to understanding the realities associated with generating reliable and affordable energy while working towards a low carbon existence.

The NABG is continuing with the tradition of having it’s fall conference for the countless members, organizations, agencies, and most of all the students who still support the organization. Elections were held this summer and a new Executive Team was elected and put in place with the directive of continuing the mission of the NABG. As the membership, we should be supportive and welcoming of the new administration and its supporters. They have accepted the challenge of continuing and improving upon the efforts and the work that others have done before them. It is imperative that we choose to participate fully in the transition of organizational hierarchy. At a time when major geoscience organizations have considered mergers and or consolidation the NABG remains solid.

Our meetings have been unique and unlike any other geoscience organization’s meetings. Because of our leadership, we have collectively developed a culture that is engaging and open and we have continued to grow. The past is just that which has occurred and we cannot dwell there, however we should take a moment to recognize the efforts and hard work done by Past-President Jerome Murphy and his Executive Team. It was no minor feat to keep intact the heartbeat of a volunteer organization during a global pandemic. Creating the virtual continuation of forty plus years of in person meetings was seamless and although it required a great deal of effort, the previous E-Team made it easy for us all. Let us commit to supporting the transition and to being there to help kickstart the efforts of the new E-Team as they move us forward. This will be an unparalleled event.

See you in Houston!
